What happens if somebody gets their green card through a marriage?

and then they get divorced? What happens if somebody gets their green card through a marriage?
If they have their 10 year green card, then they would most likely retain their status.

If they have a 2 year conditional green card, they would need to apply for a waiver to remove conditions as a single person, which can only be done after the divorce is final. Obviously, filing as a single person is more difficult, but not impossible. They would need to prove that the marriage was entered in to with genuine intent and dissolved naturally.

They would also no longer be eligible to apply for naturalization within 3 years. What happens if somebody gets their green card through a marriage?
that depends on what kind of green card it is.

IF it is a 2 year conditional card then the foreigner becomes an illegal alien in USA after the marriage breaks up and after the card expires.

if the card is 10 years and permanent then NOTHING happens.
A marriage green card is ';conditional'; upon the marriage. It's called conditional status. After 2 years of marriage, the person is permitted to file to change the status to non-conditional if they wish
nothing change only your status, and that proved that your marriage is real not fake otherwise fraud is punishable by law
Nothing it is me Barrack come and visit some time i will double NASA'S Budget.
Nothing.
u can complain about the marriage to USICE,that it was just for gain...don't keep quiet...
