Is a Muslim Marriage legal in Australia?

My colleague is getting married to an Australian Convert in Singapore which will be registered with Registrar of Muslim Marriages. They are concerned if their Muslim Marriage Certificate is recognised in Australia. They are planning to get married again in Australia using a marriage celebrant if it is not. Any ideas if the Muslim Marriage Certificate is recognised in Australia? Especially if they decide to migrate there in the future? Appreciate your help!! She's my bestie! Is a Muslim Marriage legal in Australia?
Yes it will be recognised but they need to advise the Australian Embassy and give them a copy of their marriage book. When they are married they will each be issued a book, the brown one is for the Husband and the green is for the wife.

After that they can apply for a spouse visa to enter Australia which will be valid for 2 years.

If they live in Aussie for 2 years straight the non resident can apply for residency. Is a Muslim Marriage legal in Australia?

While a marriage that occurs overseas cannot be registered in Australia, an overseas marriage will generally be recognised - see above.
