We needed 50% plus 1 vote.
It needed a majority and it got it. OK, the girl above me that said it doesn't matter, how can you say that, it affects people's rights. This is why people think america is stupid.

and I believe the answer was correct it does need a simple majority.
I hope that Prop 8 doesn't pass. It's at 54% for it passign though right now :(
