Why have all the states that have legalized gay marriage overwhelmingly white with few immigrants?

Vermont, Iowa, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, even Massachusetts despite its diverse population is only 7% black with a small percentage of immigrants coming from Portugal and Brazil.Why have all the states that have legalized gay marriage overwhelmingly white with few immigrants?
A recent study shows that black Americans in college are against gay marriage by 59% compared with white college students who are against it by a mere 12%. Whites are far more progressive on social issues than blacks. Blacks are just liberal on economic issues like welfare.Why have all the states that have legalized gay marriage overwhelmingly white with few immigrants?
If there's any connection between racial cultures and acceptance of Gay Marriage, it is this:





White families have a longer history in the United States and a deeper understanding of the way Civil Rights have developed in the USA over time. Some 1st and 2nd generation immigrants are coming from countries where oppression is the norm and getting fed means taking food from someone else's plate.





Furthermore, White Liberal Socialist Countries (like all the one's that have Federal laws supporting Gay Marriage and Civil Unions) have been much gentler and productive over the years than the Socialist nations of South America, Africa and the Middle East.





But really, I argue that ';blacks'; are not any more homophobic than whites... In fact, 65% of Obama's voters voted AGAINST proposition 8 while 90% of McCain voters voted FOR it... and we all know that McCain's voters were white.
Making something legal does not make it right.





It became legal because a particular group of politicians voted in favour of the legislation, (very often by a small margin or by those following the party line).





It would just be as simple for another group of politicians to vote against the legislation.
Because white people--especially well-to-do white males---are intolerant monsters who are racist to boot. They have a viral fear of everything that isn't lily-white and exactly like them that they will provoke anything from rallies to violence to ';promote'; their cause. They...

...wait a minute.
Study after study, poll after poll shows over and over and over that whites are far more tolerant of social change and gays than blacks---overwhelmingly! Even white high school drop outs are more likely to support gay rights issues than college educated blacks. Just look at how much Obama has done for gays. NOTHING! He won't even talk about it anymore!
New England has a different mindset from the rest of the nation.


In the South it's 100% about religion. Nothing gets done in Texass without approval from the Southern Baptist Church.
Because immigrants tend to bring with them their old cultures and customs which are not that hip compared to 2nd generation Americans and beyond. Opinion polls also show time and again that blacks are far less tolerant of gays than whites.
gay rights groups are too busy going after those dastardly Mormons who make up a mere 0.6% of the US population than to bother themselves with blacks and latinos who will in the next 20 years systematically do away with every gay right achieved since Stonewall
Liberals have learned the hard way that their anti-white pro browning of America has had some serious side effects if all of America looked like Iowa then Gays would have marriage in every state except for the South ;) Karma's a ***** White haters =D
Or at least not overwhelmingly LDS and Catholic/conservative Christian!
